In Salt Lake City, seven candidates are vying to replace Councilman Eric Jergensen, and City Council Chairman Carlton Christensen will face two challengers. Six candidates are running for mayor in Provo, and three are running for mayor of West Valley City. Three candidates will challenge Logan Mayor Randy Watts. Primaries are Sept. 15, and general elections are Nov. 3.
