FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SOUTH JORDAN SENIORS CELEBRATE CONSTITUTION DAY WITH UTAH ATTORNEY GENERAL

SOUTH JORDAN, UT –September 8, 2009

Utah Attorney General Mark Shurtleff will be the keynote speaker at a Constitution Day Luncheon sponsored by the South Jordan Seniors Advisory Committee. The luncheon will take place on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at11:30 a.m. at the South Jordan Community Center on 10778 South Redwood Road in South Jordan. City Council Member Aleta Taylor, who serves as the City Council Liaison to the South Jordan Senior Advisory Committee said that it was an easy decision to invite Shurtleff to speak at the luncheon. “We are so thrilled to have our Attorney General come and share his enthusiasm and understanding of the Constitution with our residents, and we hope that they will come and join us for this experience” said Taylor. “I was able to hear Attorney General Shurtleff speak at this luncheon last year, and he really instilled an interest in our Constitution in all of us”.
In addition to the remarks by the Attorney General, a selection of patriotic music will be performed by the Hadley Trio. Lunch will be a Cobb salad. The lunch costs $2.50 for those ages 60 and up and $5.25 for those younger than 60 years of age. Seating is limited and reservations are required by September 11th.
